"Thank you" in Greek — the single most useful word a traveller can learn.
Efharistó (ευχαριστώ) means "thank you". Use it after every interaction: paying the driver, receiving change, accepting directions. Efharistó polý (ευχαριστώ πολύ) means "thank you very much".
The reply is parakaló (παρακαλώ), which doubles as "please" — same word, opposite role.
